Elements pour une pièce radiophonique (Elements for a radio play)
(english text version & sound files below) Im Juli 2012 reisen Scoli Acosta und Andreas Oskar Hirsch auf den Spuren von Paul Bowles durch den Süden Marrokos. Ausgestattet mit Notizen und einer von Hand gezeichneten Landkarte des amerikanischen Komponisten & Autors steuern sie Orte an, an denen Paul Bowles und seine Kompagnos Mohammed Larbi und Christopher Wanklyn 1959 über mehrere Monate hinweg traditionelle marrokanische Musik für die Library of Congress in Washington DC dokumentiert hatten. Die Reise führte Acosta & Hirsch u.a. nach Guelmim in der Sahara, Tafraoute im Anti-Atlas, Khenifra im Mittleren Atlas, Marrakesch, Tiznit sowie an zahlreiche weitere Orte, an denen sie lokale Musiker suchten und Tonaufnahmen anfertigten.
Im März 2013 fand unter dem Titel ‚Elements pour une pièce radiophonique‘ in der Galérie Laurent Godin in Paris eine erste Präsentation des Materials statt.
In July 2012, Scoli Acosta and Andreas Oskar Hirsch followed the trails of Paul Bowles through southern Morocco. Equipped with notes and a hand-drawn map by the American musician and author, they headed for places where Paul Bowles and his companions, Mohammed Larbi and Christopher Wanklyn, had spent several months documenting the traditional music of Morocco for the Library of Congress in Washington DC back in 1959. The journey took Acosta and Hirsch, among other places, to Guelmim in the Sahara, Tafraout in the Anti-Atlas mountains, Khenifra in the Middle Atlas, Marrakech, Tiznit and other places where they tracked down local musicians and made recordings with them.

Diese Aufnahme entstand in einem Vorort von Marrakesch. Wilde Hunde heulen in den frühen Morgenstunden zusammen mit dem Muezzin, der zum Gebet ruft.
The recording was made on the outskirts of Marrakech. Wild dogs bark as the muezzin calls for the early morning prayers.
